Braille Press National Book Foundation Regional Office organized a Braille titles launching event on Nov 18, 21 at Braille Complex Karachi.
In which Children section is launched for the first time in Braille Press. Books include Ertugrul, Jan se Qeemti, Qassas ul Anbiya and Cinderella. Besides this, first ever Advance Mathematics Braille chart is also launched for the blind community.
All titles were distributed free of cost among audience.
Students and teachers from Noor ul Ilm academy attended the event. Representatives from NGOs and Special schools were also invited, who appreciated the efforts of Braille press.
Managing Director National Book Foundation Dr. Raja Mazhar Hameed was the chief guest of the event, who appreciated the efforts of Regional office and Braille press.
Ms. Maliha from Taqi Usmani Institute specially addressed the event.
Free sticks were also distributed among the visually impaired kids.
Students from Special Education department Karachi university volunteer the event.
It was decided to further improve the performance of Braille press by providing Text books, Reference books and Children books to fulfill the needs of blind community free of charge.
