The project aims at releasing the pressure of dependence upon foreign textbooks at post-graduate, professional, scientific and technical educational institutions. The main factor of the project is to provide such a congenial atmosphere to the professional writers, scholars and intellectuals duly supported by the relevant and updated reading material. The proposed set up will not only allow people from the country to concentrate on their professional skills but would penetrate them to share experiences with each other and get themselves enriched with updated knowledge so that to follow the latest techniques and current trends of research. It would provide initiative to improve writing skills compatible with international standards and in line with the fast moving development needs with the global perspective. Quality reading material so produced at national level shall meet international standards and would ultimately be, helpful in improving the quality of education and comprehension level of the students making them fully capable to meet the challenges of the day.

The main objective of the project is to provide both the Regional Offices of the NBF own premises to carry out book promotional activities. Besides these further includes:

• The club will provide a proper, respectable place with a reasonable infrastructure available at the reach of our men of letters.

• The centres will promote activities on the matters concerning book promotion and development by conducting workshops, seminars as well as book launching ceremonies.

• To encourage both the writers as well as the book trade in the production of quality enriched reference material.

• To provide a forum for the authors, intellectuals, scholars and professionals providing them an environment which protect their efforts in the availability of quality books.

• To provide congenial atmosphere to the scholars and professional writers duly supported by the relevant & updated resource material which could help in increasing the efficiency of developing books of high standards and innovative research oriented scholarly publications.

• To provide initiative for improving the skills of authors making it compatible with international standards.

• To accommodate research scholars and intellectuals to hold meetings and share experiences with each other.

• To build up a reference resource library which shall provide latest & upto date material for developing books which could meet international standards.

• The club shall ultimately enable to develop economic output ratio of the country by decreasing dependency upon foreign publications.  This will result in creating savings of foreign exchange being spent on making payments against royalties etc.

• To provide technical know-how aiming at fostering interest in books and in reading habits.

• To initiate such other activity and programs as may assist in the task of book development, book promotion, advancement of literacy and dissemination of knowledge by means of the printed word.

• The club in accordance with its policies and approval of the Management Committee may invite financial grants, donations etc. for the purpose of uplifting the quality & standard of publications through personal efforts under the overall patronage of NBF
